ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability is a global network of more than 2500 local and regional governments committed to sustainable urban development. ICLEI has almost 400 staff in 24 offices around the world. Network is active in 125+ countries. ICLEI influences sustainability policy and drives local action for low emission, nature-based, equitable, resilient and circular development. In line with its mandate to act as the focal point on behalf of Global Task Force at the 3 Rio Conventions and related processes, ICLEI leads the engagement of local and regional governments at the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Paris Agreement.
About Kadıköy Municipality
Municipality of Kadikoy adopted its goals on climate, energy and adaptation for 2030 as part of its commitment to the European Covenant of Mayors since 2012, incorporated SDGs into its strategic plans and is a member of ICLEI since 2017.
